That's how I envision it going. The only thing I'm not sure regarding is that technically, when the pre patch hits it will be Wrath of WoW Cataclysm Classic Gold the Lich King however, without access to nor the support of a friend. From a developer's perspective it's much less work to just introduce the level 8 version right now, since it's already available for next year, and some people may be able to take advantage of it.

The issue is that the trinkets are intended to be items for catching up they weren't released until 1 year after its launch. The reason for this was that the raffle began in November the month following the event, so it's logical to make the trinkets with the emblem available for rewards since they were catch-up items.

This doesn't seem to make sense at the moment though, so from a logical perspective, we need foreign diabo and it's in its level 70 form, even though it's only going to serve for under one week. People will being using it daily even whilst leveling the north end in an effort to obtain the diver remote, or gain mounts. But the way we've dealt with it out of those items any of the loot like trinkets and other items that drop will be in some way useless while you're leveling in Northland because let's say you're doing it still at 7576. You'd've got better greens from Buy WoW Cataclysm Classic Gold quest items than you're going to get from these.
