Patna, Bihar — In the heart of Bihar’s Sasaram district, a young student once faced a decision that many aspiring professionals encounter — should he leave his home state for better opportunities, or can success be built right here? Today, as a successful Java Developer in Delhi, he stands as a shining example of what’s possible when determination meets the right educational foundation.
This is the inspiring story of a CIMAGE College alumnus who turned his dream into reality without ever stepping outside Bihar for his graduation — proving that you don’t always have to leave your roots to rise high.
Choosing CIMAGE: A Decision That Changed Everything
After passing out from the Bihar School Examination Board, like many others, this student faced the traditional push from family — “Do B.Tech, it’s better for a good job.” But his thinking was different. He didn’t want to follow the crowd or his elder brother who had moved out of Bihar. He believed that if he searched hard enough, he could find a quality educational institution within his state.
That’s when he turned to Google and searched for “Best BCA College in Bihar” — and right at the top of the list appeared CIMAGE College, Patna. Intrigued and hopeful, he visited the college with his father the very next day. That one visit turned out to be a turning point in his life.
He enrolled in the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program and was immediately impressed by the structured approach to learning, especially the bridge course that CIMAGE offers to new students. “I still remember how Poddar Sir and other English faculty helped us polish our communication skills,” he shares. “It wasn’t just academics — it was personality development from day one.”
CIMAGE: Where Learning Goes Beyond the Classroom
What made his experience at CIMAGE unique wasn’t just the curriculum, but the overall atmosphere of discipline, mentorship, and skill-building. Regular workshops, mock interviews, seminars, and project-based learning gave him a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science.
“The teaching method at CIMAGE is different,” he says. “They focus not only on technical knowledge but also on soft skills, which helped me a lot during interviews later.”
It was this early exposure to real-world skills that laid the foundation for the next step in his academic journey — postgraduate studies at a national institute.
Next Chapter: MCA from NIT Jamshedpur
After graduating from CIMAGE in 2018, he didn’t stop there. With a goal to take his knowledge to the next level, he prepared for entrance exams and successfully secured a seat at NIT Jamshedpur, one of India’s top institutions, for a Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
He completed his MCA in 2021, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when campus placements were at an all-time low. While many students struggled with uncertainty, he chose to move forward with resilience.
Breaking into the IT Industry During a Pandemic
In 2021, with a fresh MCA degree in hand but limited placement opportunities, he began applying independently. He soon landed a role as a Full Stack Developer at Bol, where he spent over a year and a half building his practical skills, particularly in JSP (JavaServer Pages) and full-stack technologies.
This was not just a job — it was a real-world classroom, where he understood how development projects are executed in the industry. The role taught him team collaboration, code quality, debugging, and client requirements — all essential components of a professional IT career.
Closer to Home: Moving to Delhi for Growth
Although he was gaining valuable experience at Bol, the company was located quite far from Bihar. Wanting to stay relatively closer to home, he decided to shift his job search to Delhi NCR.
His efforts paid off. He secured a position as a Java Developer at FCI CGC, a reputed firm in Delhi, where he now works primarily on backend development. His current role involves working with core Java technologies, maintaining large-scale applications, and contributing to high-impact backend systems.
During his interview, he was advised something he holds onto to this day:
“Keep learning. The tech world is evolving fast, and your learning should never stop.”
Lessons from His Journey: Grit, Guidance & Growth
His story is not just about job offers or degrees — it’s about choices, mindset, and continuous effort. From choosing to stay in Bihar and study at CIMAGE to making it into NIT and then building a strong career during a global pandemic — his journey reflects grit and gratitude.
“I owe a lot to CIMAGE,” he says. “They gave me the right launchpad, both technically and personally. The environment, the support, and the discipline — they all helped shape who I am today.”
CIMAGE: Building Futures, One Student at a Time
CIMAGE College has long been known for its industry-aligned programs in BCA, BBA, B.Com (P), BSc-IT, MBA and MCA, and this alumnus is a living example of how the college prepares its students not just for exams — but for life and career.
By bridging the gap between academics and employability, CIMAGE ensures students graduate with confidence, skills, and clarity of purpose.
A Message to Aspiring Students
To students dreaming of a future in IT but hesitant to step outside Bihar, this story carries a clear message:
“Success isn’t about the place, it’s about the mindset and the mentorship. If you stay focused and choose the right college, even Bihar can be your Silicon Valley.”
His journey — from a small town in Sasaram to a Java Developer role in Delhi — shows that you don’t need to leave your state to chase your dreams. Sometimes, all it takes is the right guidance, a strong will, and a platform like CIMAGE.
