Day 1: Arrival in Manali – Acclimatize and Roam Around
Reach Manali. Acclimatize with TrekYaari team. Introduction on the trek, gear checking is done, and you would also get an opportunity to meet your trekking mates. Roam around the picturesque town of Manali in the evening and overnight stay.
Day 2: Horse Ride from Manali to Jobra | Trek from Jobra to Chika
Ride Time: 2 hours
Hike Distance: 2 km
Altitude: 9,800 ft
You will begin at Jobra, the base camp, and trek through a breathtaking pine forest to arrive at Chika, a scenic campsite alongside a flowing stream.
Day 3: Chika to Balu Ka Ghera
Hike Distance: 5 km
Altitude: 11,900 ft
Get ready to be mesmerized by open meadows, river crossings, and vast mountain views. Balu Ka Ghera, meaning “heap of sand,” is where you’ll camp under a starry sky.
Day 4: Balu Ka Ghera to Hampta Pass to Shea Goru
Trek Distance: 9 km
Altitude: Hampta Pass – 14,010 ft
Most thrilling day when you'll be trekking Hampta Pass, above snow walls. Descend with caution to Shea Goru, where green is a freezing desert—first glimpse of Spiti.
Day 5: Shea Goru to Chatru | Drive to Chandratal Lake (if open)
Trek Distance: 5 km + 3-hour drive
Very easy downhill trek. After Chatru, subject to weather conditions, TrekYaari arranges a drive to Chandratal Lake, dream-like appearance crescent-shaped lake.
Day 6: Back from Rohtang Pass to Manali
Back drive to Manali on the same road for breakfast. With memories in your heart and in your camera with out-of-the-world scenes, your Hampta Pass vacation ends here—but the tales never cease.
