In a poignant gesture of respect and mourning, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah honored the bravery of Syed Adil Hussain Shah, a local pony operator who died while shielding a tourist during the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 civilian lives. Shah, the sole Kashmiri Muslim among the victims, attempted to disarm one of the gunmen and protect visitors caught in the crossfire. The CM, addressing a large crowd at Shah’s funeral, assured the bereaved family of full administrative support and lauded Shah’s sacrifice as one that will be remembered as a symbol of unity and courage amidst tragedy.
