Wellington Anniversary 2026
Wellington Anniversary commemorates the day the first European settlers landed on the shores of what we know today as Wellington back in 1840. Each year, on the Monday closest to the date of landing which was 22nd January, we observe this public holiday. Wellington Anniversary 2026 will be celebrated on Monday, January 22nd.
